Dad deciding ....
.... what to order for lunch and dinner tomorrow, even though he hopes this time he won't be eating it because he will be allowed to go home. He does report that the food is very good.

.... that £10 per day to watch TV is too much to pay to see who wins BBC Sports Personality of the year.

.... that he's getting rather fed up now.

Doctors deciding ...
.... that he's managing well on two sticks following a hip replacement operation last week.

.... that he's passed "The Stairs Test".

.... that the wound is healing very well indeed.

.... that due to results of blood tests, he needs to stay in hospital.


We went to visit this afternoon, and have to say he's making remarkably good progress. His jokes are up to the usual awful standard. The car parking charges however are ridiculous.
