Up on the moor (Day 1419)
The wind died away overnight, and despite a bit of a rain shower, it was a much more pleasant wander up the hill with the woofers.
A bit later, I headed across to Stromness to deal with a leaky loo, a job which should have been dealt with a long time ago. The leak has pretty much destroyed the floor. As I was leaving the job, a regular customer asked me to have a look at his loo, and after a brief stop in at the house re-furb job, I headed round and sorted another leaky loo.
A trip into town to collect some bits and book myself on the ferry for a trip overseas on Wednesday.
I zoomed home, corralled the woofers into the van and took them for a wander at Lyde, returning home in time for lunch with my beautiful wife.
Since the weather was reasonable, we made our way to Stromness for a ride out on the hosses. It was the best ride I have had for ages, with Billy behaving pretty well and actually responding to what he was being asked. We did a lot of trotting and a fair bit of cantering and Billy was fairly knackered by the end of the ride. If only all rides could be like today's one!
