After Miles woke up from his nap today I took him to the zoo to meet the newborn elephant Lilly. I was hoping that the pouring down rain would deter all the crowds also wanting to see the new calf. Luckily my plan worked but we had to sprint to her cage as they were closing it down 10 minutes after we arrived so she could rest. That was still plenty of time to see her and when we were leaving Miles yelled "thank you Lilly!" which got a lot of laughter from the zoo staff.
