Barberry shop and metal worker

This is the barber shop that I go to. I was impressed by his hygiene standards. How many Canadian barbers heat sterilize their clippers every use? Beside him is an outdoor metal shop, making shelves, door frames, etc. I don't think he wears safety glasses when he arc welds all the time, which seems a bit unwise.

Also, barberry is a perfectly acceptable word here. I will have to check and see whether it was once part of the "Queen's English", or whether it was derived here. Italian origins, maybe?
