The horse with no name

Well almost no name. James has decided Lou's new horse should be called Winny as she does a lot of it! So for now that's her name as she's on trial and it's not for sure Lou will take her on, but she's very sweet and gentle for a 4 year old mare and Lou seems to like her and so does Beans! I think he's just chuffed that he doesn't have to pretend to be a cow any longer just to have someone to talk to.

It'll be a long road to travel before Winny's able to compete as she's totally inexperienced. Lou's quite level headed and knows the chances of her being anywhere near Whisper's ability and heart are slim ... Sorry I'll have to stop there as thinking about him too much just sets me off bawling again.

We took Lou's Christmas present ( the picture of Whisper that Sav did ) and let her unwrap it - it was hard not to cry then, but I knew if I started then Lou would too, however we both managed to hold it together.

I really hope that Winny has the ability that Lou's looking for and that they can develope the special relationship that a successful team ( horse and rider ) have. Maybe a little angel could Whisper in her ear ...

P.S. Winny is the dark horse ... Let's hope so! Maybe she'll turn out to be exactly what Lou needs.
