Dicentra spectbilis

Clickychick arrived in from a morning appointment and suddenly declared she wanted to go out.   After lunch and a bit of a discussion we headed towards Ambleside.

It was fairly obvious that once in the area we would end up at Hayes even if only for coffee.  Actually we spent a long time out in the spring sunshine discussing various plants for Amber Nook.

Of the shots I took the ubiquitous Bleeding Heart turned out favourite.  It seems capable of growing in almost any soil, sun or shade and well drained or poorly drained situations.
