Here's a tip...

... for anyone who wants to avoid being the subject of a candid street photographer.

Take out your phone and start a video call (or even just pretend to do so!).

As I was taking some shots of this happy lady outside York Minster, I realised she was talking to phone and panning its camera around as she spoke.

Maybe I was about to be a participant in a video call, as she explained she was outside the cathedral..

I had already taken this shot so I moved away, hopefully unobtrusively.
