Fort National

A little breezy today, but was bright and sunny so we went for a walk to the beach. I wasn't too bad and was surprisingly empty as this picture shows. This is a Vauban fortification built to keep France safe from the dastardly English, always attacking her shores. While it may have kept my ancestors out, in these more enlightened times I've managed to sneak in...!
