Hardwick Hall

We left Gloucester with the intention of breaking our journey home at Hardwick Hall. Pleased we did as having completed two thirds of our journey the weather brightened. Richard opted to give Jet a walk in the park land whilst I wandered through the formal gardens and then the Hall. Liked the ‘We are Bess’ exhibition featuring 20 modern women who have responded to Bess of Hardwick’s story and consider the similarities between the challenges she faced in the sixteenth century and their own experiences.

Quite liked this view of the Hall from the formal gardens. The photographer was involved in some form of photo shoot as the area she was in was out of bounds. Just couldn’t see who she was photographing.

Then a trouble free trip home. Despite missing the opportunity to Orienteer we enjoyed our weekend away.
