Washing Line Story

A walk through Comfort Woods next to Cotehele which is where I spotted this washing line. I know a young family lives in the lovely house with the lovely windows, and an older man was in the garden who I presume was the grandfather. But it still seemed a lot of tea towels and perhaps table cloths to be hanging on the line along with the towels! I wonder what event they had been used for. Ahh the stories a washing line can intimate!
