Another project!!

I bought this writing slope at Newark Antiques Fair a couple of weeks ago with the aim of restoring it. The top surface looked suspicious, but you don't know what's there until you get all the old crap off.

I didn't expect to see this much damage, but the plan is to remove the brass corners, and then replace the veneer. This will be a new technique to learn.

The inside has got old but not original leather, so I will strip it off and replace it.
