A soggy Jay

This morning was cold with showers of rain and snow. It was the U3A Birdwatching group's morning out at Wood Lane Nature Reserve so F and I went along (in many layers of clothing). 

Only four of us were daft enough to turn up but we saw quite a few birds including shoveller, gadwall and snipe and this very wet jay was sitting in a tree by the hide.  We didn't stay as long as normal as it was so cold and wet.

I had a lovely time at the music session last night, it was great to get back to playing. We returned through rain and snow showers.
