Cranes, cranes, cranes

Today we have spent the whole day at Lake Hornborga, famous for the crane dance. The cranes stops for resting at the lake when they come from southern Europe, before flying further north. They come in thousands. This morning there were 23.600 cranes! And they dance; alone, in pair or groups! It is a messy sight, cranes everywhere, mixed with swans, geese and other birds. But it is a lovely sight.
It is not only the cranes that come to the lake, the human beings come too. The crane dance period lasts one month and then about 170.000 people come and watch.
