Spring Deer

I enjoyed a cake-making session and a nice chat with my daughter this morning. After lunch Ollie dog and I walked Lodge Farm and saw three herds of deer in the distance. The ones at the top of my image were snoozing on the grass by some blackthorn in blossom. Two jackdaws appear to be picking at them for ticks or insects. The animals in the lower image are with a buck in a field of wheat.
