The Invention of Nature

Today's the day . . . . . . for a good read

Really enjoying reading this book about Alexander Von Humboldt (1769-1859).  In spite of the fact that more things are named after him than anyone else,  I knew almost nothing about him at all before I started on the book.  Now I am in complete wonderment why he isn't better known by everyone.

He was an expert in many different branches of science and his way of thinking was so far ahead of his time that it's only now coming into its own . .  . . .  . . . . . . .
