Loch Urr

Today's the day …………………… to drive home

We returned home this evening after our final grandparenting stint - for a while at least - driving from Moniaive to Tongland, near Kirkcudbright.

There are several routes that we can take but today, because it was such a lovely evening, we took the most scenic and probably the shortest, up over the moor via the village of Corsock.  It's not necessarily the quickest because it does go into the wilds and the road is single-track for most of the way - but this evening it was truly magical to be up there.  Loch Urr was the bluest of blue and there were wispy clouds in the still blue sky.

It was peaceful and quiet and we had it all to ourselves - quite a contrast from the goings-on of the day (see extra) ………………………..!
