Wallflowers

Went up to the allotment and grubbed about a bit, stopping briefly to admire the wallflowers that have quietly erupted over by the hedge. They are very beautiful when you look closely; but they also have a scent that propels me back in an instant to a garden in Hampshire over sixty years ago.

I'm finding it difficult to sleep, or concentrate on anything useful, in these.....interesting times.
