Flax

Another Victorian mayor, but quite an attractive statue: industrialist Peter Fairbairn overlooks Woodhouse Square. He was big in flax-spinning apparently.

Other than Victoria, statues of women are a bit thin on the ground in Leeds, and everywhere. But at least there were a couple of blue plaques nearby (extras).
