50 reasons to celebrate

1. On the steps in Waverly station I get a text that takes my breath away. I am so delighted, so proud, so happy. Just flat out great news. Congratulations Colin.

2. It's Christmas lunch today. I always love these days but today is very special. Not only is it Vicky's last Christmas but Jeremy's and Niall's too.

3. After dinner and chocolate tart (yes that is a cock drawn on) there is a little speech and Vicky is given her Shrigley and her jotters.

4. Emotion builds as our two gaelic associates sing Silent Night.

5. And so the afternoon turns to evening and we fill the Bell pub with laughter and memories. I think we mark the passing of eras rather beautifully. Emotional as newts.
