Nara

I spent some time exploring Nara, which used to be Japan’s capital in the 8th century It is mainly known for its Daibutsu - a 15m-high bronze Buddha located in the main hall of the imposing Todai-ji temple - and its semi tamed deer [see extra]. There are of course many other temples and shrines!
Then it was time to return to Tokyo.
