T. Tiger Inspects the New Havahart Trap

I ordered a new Havahart trap online some time ago. It is a variety of catch-and-release trap, in which the critters you get are supposedly not harmed. You catch them and let them free, which sounds like a much more friendly way to go. We have mice in our shed and I thought I'd try this kind of trap.

I do not yet know exactly how the trap works. I have not gotten that far. We have only so far removed it from the box once or twice. But Tiny Tiger heard about the trap, and he was intrigued. He wanted to check it out and certify that it was safe for critters about his size.

And so we got the trap out again and looked at it. And Tiny Tiger examined it in fine detail. We even found a tiny mouse to come and pose in our photo shoot, as a token critter. (And look, quite appropriately, the mouse even hasaheart on it!)

Tiny Tiger declined to actually go INSIDE the trap to pose. He said it made him think too much of jail. And he does NOT want to go into jail. He is a FREE tiger. Always has been. Always will. He concluded his investigations, and declared the trap to be exactly as described. We hope to put it into service soon!

The soundtrack song is Dwight Yoakum, with Suspicious Minds. The music begins around a minute and a half into the video. Oh . . .
We're caught in a trap
I can't walk out
Because I love you too much, baby
