Amazing!

We had #3 daughter, Ella and Nathaniel for lunch. Her friend Vuckyband her little boy Hugo also came. We have known Vicky since they started teaching together, 18 years ago now.

After lunch (sausage, bean and mushroom casserole) we headed off on a treasure hunt as Hugo has not done one before.

After they’d found the treasure they rushed off across the moor. Hugo’s welly fell off and in the process of going to help him, Vicky found this shoe - hadn’t we just been telling her how James had lost his last summer! - and though we’d looked and looked we’d not found it. But here it was, wet but as good as new. Well it was new when he lost it and #2 daughter was not best pleased to be having to buy another new pair. Its mate had been in our back porch till this week when Mr C finally put it in the bin. Luckily the bins aren’t emptied till Monday, so now Hugo has a nearly new pair of trainers.

Ella is keen to put new words to use so went to town with “coincidence”.

They have all gone and we are shattered, what with the 1am finish last night and the children today.

A bit of Derry Girls and Fleabag should distract us from b......Brexit,
