Today's the day ……………………. for bolognesgate

It was all going to be so nice - and delicious.

Rob, Anna and the girls were here on a sleepover.  The girls were fed, bathed and asleep in bed.  The wine was on the table, the music was soothing.  The salads were tossed, the spaghetti was cooked - and all that was needed was the ragu Bolognese (a la Mary Berry) to make the evening meal complete.

Somewhere between the cooker and the table, the casserole dish slipped out of my hands.  It crashed on to the tiled kitchen floor and shattered into a thousand pieces - there was ragu on every possible surface. 

I'm sure you get the picture - so I'll just leave you with one of the gorgeous orchid that Anna had brought as a present …………………..
