Stop me stop me stop me
Stop me if you think you've heard this one before.
For third successive Saturday I met Pensioner re: football.

There I was, plotting a quiet day - a haircut at Jim the Barber followed by a brief wander at Lidl; with an afternoon buying Alex some new jeans, but no....

Once again the phone went ping! and once again it was Bike Shop Neill offering his Hertz season ticket for the game against nearest and dearest neighbours Hibs. Sadly 3 into 1 doesn't go so after another call to the Knight In Shining Armour that is Pensioner, a plan was hatched. Tom would chum Pensioner to the game (his seat is along 1 block and back a couple of rows, and Neill's dad was there to feed Tom  Werther's Originals keep an eye on him. Thrilled to be going to his first Embra derby even if it was in the wrong end doesn't even come close.

So we abandoned the haircut, swept round Lidl, sped to the bike shop and then RVed with Pensioner at the 19 bus stop.

And all off to town we didst go. At the West End, they went west down Dalry Road and Alex and I went east onto Princes St to forage for jeans. It took us all the way to H&M to finally strike it lucky. A restorative Big Mac and then back to Tynecastle to see Tom skip down the steps at full time; Pensioner slightly more dejected.

As he headed off to the Diggers, we joined the tide that washed up Gorgie Road to Haymarket, Levein Out being muttered all around; interspresed with the odd Happy Hibee.

A bus home, a quick detour via the bookies to put on a couple of horses and in to dry / warm up.

Tom's horse was one off a place and a profit, and then settling into the sofa for FA Cup semi final on TV - Brighton v Man City.

A quiet evening interspersed with updates from 5 Get Wet Queuing Outside the Hydro for Shawn Mendes.

With the rain teeming down as we waited for a bus home, sunbathing was the last thing on my mind...
