Power to the people

Another day of cold dreary weather. An easterly whipped the waves and cut keenly through the clothing layers. Despite the weather we walked five miles around Portobello including a lap of Figgate Park hoping to catch sight of the otters there -but not today. The power lines buzz on misty days and create a sense of dynamic energy pulsing just above us. On the site of the former bottle works masses of new homes are being built. On the site perimeter were a number of signs encouraging bricklayers to apply for immediate work. Proof of the EU brickies who have the mobility to vote with their hard hats and boots leaving us further in the lurch.
