Come on in...

More cold damp weather blowing in from the East. We had a quick visit to the daughter and belatedly gave her a voucher for that very nice garden place at Smeaton for her birthday. Bad timing with our arrival though - I had to help ferry tiles into the house.
On via Homebase to the Filmhouse who are showing Clockwork Orange on the big screen. Not everyone’s cup of tea, that one, let's just say. And back to see some people not at all put off by the cold damp weather blowing in from the East. We’ll know what thrills to offer our Dublin blipper next time he’s over.
What else has been going on? Big news which went unreported here is that the boatyard was broken into by two hooded characters in the early hours a few days back. They were quite fortuitously caught by a passing police patrol wheeling our yard trolley along a nearby street loaded with five outboards and a couple of solar panels. They were were enough organised to have a battery powered angle grinder but no transport; they legged it when spotted. Is it only on TV that police chase villains and pin them to the ground and ‘cuff ‘em?
And Mrs May is reaching new levels of desperation never previously seen on the planet. She’s sent for Jeremy!
