Fishing
Earlier this morning the waders, gulls, ducks and herons were busily feeding in the sparkling waters and rich mud of the Foveran Burn. The bird to the right of the large heron is an egret, a fairly unusual visitor to these parts.
Extra. Later on I visited the small harbour of Boddam, just to the South of Peterhead. The large building in the background is the Peterhead Power Station, the building in front of it is a fish processing factory and the buildings in the far distance to the right are Peterhead Prison. A diverse economy!
