Bouquet flower

As I was away for both my birthday and Mother’s Day, I received a belated bouquet from our eldest son last Saturday. This is one of the flowers, a chrysanthemum. Some more weeding today (I will get on top of it eventually, they grow abundantly) and I found some rooted strawberry plants which I intend to pot up. I think the birds must be spreading them around. I also trimmed the dead bits off my largest acer. The branches closest to the slatted fence had suffered the most damage, the wind must be blowing through the slats. The promised rain didn’t materialise until early evening.
