Bulgarian rescue dog

 
Met Benson a rescue dog from Bulgaria this morning in Bridge of Allan as I was rushing to the local Health centre for a blood test (routine check up for thyroid ).
 
I only had time for a quick word with the owner who lives up on Sheriffmuir. She tells me three year old Benson was a show dog in Bulgaria.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karakachan_dog
Initially these were bred as mountain dogs to guard livestock.

How he ended up in dog rescue I have yet to find out. 
As for my new camera, well it was the iPhone I had in my pocket, while the SLR languished in its case back home.
