Building Site

Heathrow is one of the largest airports in the world. It’s like a small city. When I transferred to London in 1992, the airport had huge building works going on. Once completed another section of the airport underwent the same thing. I have learned in these 27 years that there is ALWAYS a large building project going on! New terminals have been built, others have been extended and still others have been demolished and rebuilt.

This view here is around the Terminal 2 gates. Not the greatest picture as it was obviously taken through a window. You can see the main terminal building in the background. I have no idea what is being built now.

There’s a joke around here that this is the only building site in the world with its very own airport!!

I was back in the air today, but this time as a passenger - being sent out to bring a flight back to Heathrow tomorrow.
