Diary of an Edinburgher

More jobs done

More work in the garden in the morning sun. Then work in the back garden in the afternoon sun. Lots done! Including sawing up many dozens of batons that I’d been saving from when the path was done (years ago!) They were quite tough, or else the wee reciprocating saw is getting blunt. But we did them in lots of ten at a time, with plenty of rest and other activities in between. What a good job done - now I have much more room in my wee shed - tomorrow's job.

Archie enjoyed a good long sit on my lap on the newly painted bench. He loves the sun - sits with his face up and eyes closed for long periods. Michael came to take him out for a walk. Yay!

The painter couldn’t make his visit this afternoon... we're hoping it all gets completed tomorrow. Also, the new kitchen cabinet has had a setback - our cabinet maker wasn’t happy with the stain colour, which should match the existing cabinets as closely as possible.

Here he is, standing in the sun, contemplating. I love his profile, with that cute wee curly tail. Here's a double dose, with a cute shadow too.
