Spring herring
The Herring are running in our local rivers. The conditions were not the greatest today for great photographs, but I snapped a few passable ones. Sunny skies are better than the cloudy skies of today for visibility and calmer waters produce clearer fish. Only one small group of swimmers were massed together trying their best to swim up stream to spawn in the waters of their birth while I was there. The currents were strong and the obstacles many, but they swim on. I love the spring ritual of going to a stream in Pembroke, the town where I taught kindergarten for 26 years, and watching the brave Alewife run the river.
For the Record,
This day came in with cloudy skies and a slow leak in one of our tires. That's been successfully plugged, I've taken some photographs for a local shop owner for a new website and we're going to a Story Slam at the James Library in Norwell tonight.
All hands happy that T is back from her business trip.
