V recently bought herself a new pair of boots, just in case the weather - heaven forfend - should take a turn for the worse.

Now, I've reached the ripe old age of whatever it is and never had a pair of boots, other than wellies, in my whole life. So, whilst V was paying for hers, I looked round the shop and saw a pair that I quite fancied so I splashed out as well.

Mind you, I'm not so sure that black really is my colour.
