A Day At A Time.

Polar Bear Challenge

About a hundred competitors took part. Ranging from Year 7 littlies, through mums and dads, to members of the teaching staff.

Even before the sun had risen, they were marshaled to the astroturf next to the pool and in groups they set off.

Up the road from the school into the campo, nothing more than scrub land, for a kilometre or so, then back down to the school along another road. The final leg was a length of the pool. Some dived straight in, some more cautiously lowered themselves in, and some nearly refused at that last hurdle. But in the end they all finished.

And no-one got hypothermia!

This was followed by mulled wine for the adults. Just the ticket at 8:30 a.m!

Then a morning of fairly normal school, an extended lunch, which included karaoke for the children, and then Final Assembly: the usual celebration of all the greatest moments of the term just finishing.

We ended with the finale from last week's Sixth Form Show, which was our version of Gangnam Style!

So now it's a short while to gather breath, shower and change, and then off to the Staff Gala Dinner at La Playa restaurant in La Cala. Preceded briefly by drinks at a colleague's flat.

Happy hols!
