Cuckoo Flower

Nice drive in my yellow S2000 to and from John Lewis in Welwyn Garden City. Big mistake to have ordered varifocals from John Lewis opticians. :(

Ollie dog and I had a lovely walk at Parndon after lunch. Lots of cuckoo flowers in bloom in the water meadows. They're so named because they flower at about the same time that the cuckoo arrives. I haven't heard one yet. We used to open our premises to the public seasonally in late April to sell our summer garden plants. I used to tell our customers that when they heard the cuckoo it was time to give us a visit.
