Graciosa Island

This island is the tiniest and driest. The heavens opened as we sailed in but it cleared. We had blue sky.

My blip is of the thermal spa. We stopped to take photos of the incredible light, waves and rocks.

Next, we went into the heart of the volcano (180 steps) Furna do Enoxfre. Brilliant.

Another photostop by the Farol (lighthouse, Ponta da Barca), also famed for whales. We didn’t see any.

Finally to the charming capital, Santa Cruz.

This is a wonderful, magical place, and to have blue skies (although interspersed with rain) was a bonus.

Forecast is grim. High winds and rough conditions. We may not be able to land on Corvo, even with the zodiacs.....but we’ll see.
