Thank You For the Days ..

Sunday Afternoon

Old pals C and C came over for lunch today. We'd done a Scottish menu - Arbroath smokie pate, roast lamb (local of course) and cranachan for pud.  Nick Nairn's recipe for the latter, it was delicious.  

Cranachan, btw, is raspberries, cream, whisky and Drambuie, with a sprinkling of caramelised oats to add a bit of gravitas.
I daren't think about the number of calories in that lot.

After that we put the world to rights, reminisced about our long lost youth, and all in all, passed a very pleasant afternoon.

The washing up is done and now I'm just tidying up the last of the wine ....
