Out of the Blue.
Suddenly lots of flowers are appearing. A few warm days have done the trick. Unfortunately the nights are very cold, and a few things have suffered a touch of frostbite. But 'Frances Rivis', the first of the clematis, is a tough old bird. She grows on the front of TM's workshop, rather tucked in a corner. I took the picture through a rather dirty window, an unintended grey filter, but I quite like the soft effect.
I made a pie with hot water pastry today. I haven't done that for about fifty years. Now I know why. The recipe said 'knead till elastic'. Mine was like very old knicker elastic, all slack and floppy. But it tasted ok.
