Santa's helpers are gathering

After my gas boiler thankfully passed its annual service I met my friend and her pup, Brodie, and had a super long walk with the dogs. Life has been a bit hectic recently and all dogs deserved the chance of a good stretch and they happily took advantage of it.

Later I ventured into a local and magical Christmas shop where a very large room is sectioned off into about ten individual rooms, each dedicated to one particular theme. For example there are rooms for all items gold, silver and wood and another dedicated to nativity scenes and yet another to the largest individual collection of Santas that I have ever seen. Any single idea that you might have for a Christmas decoration can be found here and needless to say I had to open my purse!

I had a lovely chat with my son in Vegas last night and it really doesn't seem like a year ago that I spent Christmas with them out there. He was telling me that he and some other crew members from his Squadron are going to do a special ski marathon dressed in pink onesies (!) in aid of Breast Cancer as one of the wives has recently started treatment for this.
