We all need to fit in, a reason to belong. Maybe not all of us but most of us. The school our kids o to, do a good job at trying to ensure they do just that, no matter the shape, or the nationality, or the size or the attitude, you will be given your place. This was clear from tonight's high school Christmas concert.

Quite frankly I have never seen so much confidence in youngsters, ever. And not the arrogant X- Factor style confidence which malingers behind, well not very much talent more often than not.

There were speeches from ex-pupils of what was my old school which were nice but the straw which broke #2's patience was the loud bagpipes. Well the show did run over by 35 minutes at least.
