Rabbit obsession, Part X
I blame myself. Ever since we brought in Charlie, our stray rescue, Ottawacker Jr. has been on a one-boy mission to feed nature. Ducks and geese get corn, rabbits get Brussels sprouts and carrots.
I was preparing dinner, had taken the remaining single carrot out of the fridge to chop and cook, when I realized I hadn't got a glass of wine with me. I mean, how the hell can you cook if you aren't drinking?
I go to the basement to get the wine and find the carrot, chopped, is now on the lawn being eaten by the rabbit. Ottawacker Jr. is looking not so much guilty, as victorious. We had to have asparagus. With chicken.
On the plus side, the rabbit is getting plump...
