Dizzy heights
This is Dizzy and Pip on the rocks at the top of Harden Moor.
What a great walk we had this morning with the sun out from the start.
We did a back to front route at V’s suggestion crossing the Cricket field and then climbing up to the woods of St Ives and up again before crossing onto the moor. It was worth the pull up the hill for the views over the village and the deer we spotted on the edge of the reeds where they hide. It scampered off into the trees at the edge of the field where we believe they have their babies.
Being on the Moor on such a lovely morning was a delight and there were a few other people up there already.
Later Chris and I walked on to the garden centre and had a coffee. He wanted some sweet peas. He decided last year to harvest some seeds and grow his own. Two plants have come up but he wanted more. Very busy in the cafe.
Just finished my Easter basket to take to church tomorrow for Easter Sunday. I was buying some creamy white flowers in Bingley when the lady said she actually had some daffs. (Normally a bunch of daffs is all you need and a bit of greenery) They were small but a lovely creamy colour with a soft orange middle. Wasn’t expecting to get any this late so I was pleased especially at £1 a bunch.
Having a cuppa and a hot cross bun now; a good Good Friday.
Happy Easter weekend everyone. It’s hot here.
(Yesterday Eda went up a mountain, they climbed Cul Beag. She slept some of the way, she slept some of the way in the back carrier)
