Hard to tell whether this is flotsam (from the sea) or jetsam (from the promenade) but there is no doubting it was once a comfortable sofa!

The sun shone all day which enabled the painters to make good progress. They knocked off at 1400 allowing us to spend the afternoon gardening in the warm sunshine.

In the early evening we met a neighbour to catch up before a stroll among the early evening Easter revellers on the promenade.

We came home past the Joppa church that caught fire in 1998. Two charred rafters from that inferno are permanently fixed in front of the church in the shape of a cross. An appropriate recollection for today.
