Tadpole-to-be

Our pond being stagnant didn't put off the frogs - they came, they played and some were attacked by foxes, but, to our relief, spawn was laid. I was not certain that it was fertile but here's what i found today - definite signs of growth.
I'm hedging my bets by placing some into three other containers, in case the algal growth suffocates the little ones, so we're back to having tadpools again.
I realise that this is not the most appropriate blip for Good Friday, but all traditions were observed, even by the BBC - good programme this morning - and an atmospheric service at church.
