Cumbria Here I Come

Gingerbread House

Well I finally made it to a wet Carlisle this afternoon for a couple of hours Christmas shopping. It was very festive in the pedestrianised centre and there were a couple of kiddies fairground rides which unfortunately were at a standstill. This gingerbread house caught my attention, but have no idea was its purpose was, wish I'd paid more attention now.

As well as the fairground rides there were Volunteers from the Royal National Lifeboat Institute fundraising in honour of a special visit by the 'William Riley', a ten-oared lifeboat from 1909 which was amazing to see.
