Glass and wine

More wineries to-day, it's a tough job but some-one's got to do it!
This photo was taken at our first winery of the day, a very scenic location on the slopes of the Simonsberg mountain. It is owned by an amazing lady called May de Lencquesaing, a well respected french wine producer who bought this vineyard a few years ago at the ripe old age of 83. The story is fascinating and the place beautiful, not only the mountains and vine covered slopes but the interesting collection of precious glassware and paintings.

More wineries followed, each with their own character. The heat was relentless, thank goodness for the shade of the oak trees, copious amounts of iced water and air conditioning in the car!
