Castin Has Started

The wind is still blowing, and looks like it won't ease anytime soon.  It has been warm, and the sun has been shining all day.

I was working in the museum this morning, mostly working with photos.  I had the afternoon off, and spent it in the peat hill.  I've been working in the pub this evening, finished early and out walkies with Sammy.  Knackered tonight, so feet are up now!

Having finished flaying and my peat bank ready to go, I got stuck into casting this afternoon.  Big Brian sharpened up my tushkar, and she cut great into the bog.  Peerie Brian had made a bit of a start to the casting, and then I took over.  Half way through the first layer, and it's been tough going.  The bank is full of old rabbit burrows, so the peats are breaking up.  Hopefully the next layer will be better.  Taken at the Hill of Fitch, Tingwall.
