Tent home - still in hibernation

Ocean Grove NJ is known as Tent City. The Methodist Church owns the ground where these little shanty shacks abound (140 of them). The church stores the canvas ‘tents’ and erects them each Summer to cover the front of this ‘deck’; tenting becomes the side walls & roof & includes a front porch awning. Secure in the ‘shed’ to the back of the deck is the permanent kitchen & bath, and stored furniture (sofa, lamps, bed, tables, & even TV & artwork). Once the tents are erected, the homes are occupied by their summer residents, who can casually reach out their side window to borrow sugar from their neighbor. It’s quite a sight to see - complete with rocking chairs and flowers on the porch. I will be sure to post a ‘colorful’ picture later this season.
