Down the hole (again ).....

Another day of this and that. When I fed the cattle this morning the cow and calf from Sunday night were near the gate into the field that are to go in next. Simple job to open the gate and pop them through- you would think ! But no, wee calf is a wild wee sh.. , straight through the fence leaving mum roaring up and down the wrong side. By the time I got through the gate and down the field on the quad bike, said wee sh... was back through the fence and both it and mum were off over the horizon like a train!
Will need to try another day .
Then tonight, went to fill the bruiser hopper with barley to do a quick batch when I was greeted with silence. Top conveyor chain had fallen to bits again and barley everywhere. So next 2 hours with the hoover down the pit with the mice, then up in the rafters with the pigeons trying to rejoin the chain. Just love my job some days .
