Fishermen's Monument

The Monument at the Old Harbour was recently refurbished and is looking very nice. Today's weather was fierce to say the least, and when I stopped off on the way to the train I was looking for something weather-themed - well, the barometer in the face of the Monument will do nicely.

This is a really poor quality photo, but as I perched on a boat-trailer in the wind and rain I wasn't much for hanging around!

The train took me to Edinburgh for drinks with friends old and new from various technology companies around Edinburgh. Very nice, and since I was on orange juice all night I'll hopefully be in fine fettle for a trip to The Hobbit with my older lads tomorrow :)
